The body of a 46-year-old woman was found this morning in Pennypack Park in Northeast Philadelphia, police said.
Officer Christine O’Brien, a police spokeswoman, said the woman’s cause of death remains under investigation and that the woman’s identity has not yet been revealed.
6ABC is reporting that the woman was found at 6 a.m., near the Crispin Recreation Center at Holme and Convent avenues, and appears to have been strangled to death while she was jogging, but a medical examiner has yet to confirm these details.
Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey told the news outlet it’s a “suspicious death.”
