Shootouts left two women dead in separate incidents early Thursday morning in Philadelphia.

Police said a 26-year-old woman was killed during an apparent robbery at around 1:45 a.m. on the 5100 block of N. 12th Street in Logan.

Officers called to the scene found the victim lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds to her chest. She succumbed to her injuries at Einstein Medical Center a short time later.

Soon after, a 15-year-old boy showed up at Einstein after being shot in the chest, back, arm and hand, according to police.

Investigators believe the teenager was part of an armed group attempting to rob the woman, who pulled out a gun of her own and fired back. The boy was transferred to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and is expected to face charges upon his release, authorities said.

Earlier, at around 12:45 a.m., an argument outside a Southwest Philadelphia bar turned deadly, when, according to investigators, a woman inside a car opened fire on a man.

The exchange occurred on the 5300 block of Woodland Avenue. Responding to reports of gunshots, officers spoke with a man who said he returned fire after a woman began shooting at another man on the street, police said.

Authorities said the woman, whose age was not released, was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center with gunshot wounds to her chest and right arm. She died a short time later.

The other shooter, as well as the man who was initially targeted, remained at the scene, investigators said.

Police said the man who returned fire was legally licensed to carry the gun. No charges have been filed, and homicide detectives continue to investigate the killing.

Later in the day, at around 3:45 p.m. Thursday, an 18-year-old man was struck in the ankle when shots were fired on the 2200 block of S. 27th Street in South Philadelphia, police said. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

On Wednesday, just before 11:45 p.m., someone shot a 40-year-old man in his lower back near the corner of 52nd and Girard Avenue in West Philadelphia, authorities said. He was hospitalized in stable condition, and no one was immediately arrested.
