Police in Montgomery County are investigating a suspected home invasion murder that happened early Sunday morning in Wynnewood.
Few details about the killing were available Sunday, but authorities did say that the homicide occurred just after 2:15 a.m. on Meredith Road, just north of City Avenue.
The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office and Lower Merion Township Police Department released images showing two cars and a driver that may have been involved in the incident.
Authorities said the man in the light-colored vehicle fled from police officers in the area of the home invasion. The other vehicle, a 2004 green Jeep Cherokee with Pennsylvania tag LFS6673, was stolen during the crime, according to investigators.
Anyone with information is asked to call LMT Police at 610-645-6231 or the Montgomery County Detective Bureau at 610-226-5553. A $5,000 reward is being offered for tips leading to an arrest in the case.
