With the Eagles parade set for this Friday, Feb. 14, one local brand is dropping a special release inspired by the city.
Yards Brewing is unveiling their new Trash Talk IPA just in time to enjoy alongside the Super Bowl winners themselves at the festivities this weekend.
Logistically, the tropically-infused sip features “bold” flavors like pineapple and also offers a crisp finish. But on a more personal level, Yards says that their Trash Talk IPA is the embodiment of the company’s mantra, “Made By Phila” — “This brew is the synthesis of art, music, culture, heroes, revolutions, and history, all of which are wrought from the grit and hustle of the perfectly imperfect place Yards calls home.”
This 6.5% ABV IPA will be available in limited quantities this Thursday at the Yards taproom located at 500 Spring Garden Street in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of the city, a release notes. Yards will only be releasing 100 cases of the new beer in four packs of 12oz cans (which will be priced at $8.99.) Trash Talk IPA will be available when Yards opens at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, and at least 10 cases will be on special reserve for those that visit on Friday for the Super Bowl Parade After Party and Happy Hour as well.
Speaking of, on Friday, Philadelphians can head to the venue in NoLibs after the parade from 3 to 6 p.m. to enjoy a few different specials including $6 select 20 oz. beers, $8 cocktails and wine, plus a $6 hummus plate, $6 IPA pretzel, Bricklayer’s Nachos, $10 cheesesteak egg rolls and $12 Philly Wing Pounders.
Those who can’t score their own brew this weekend will also be able to find it in stores year-round starting this April.
“Trash Talk IPA is a beer made for this city, built on its determination, passion, and love for the game,” said Yards co-founder Tom Kehoe in a statement.
