A man was killed and three other people were wounded in shootings within a span of less than four hours early Monday morning in Philadelphia.

Officers were called just before 6 a.m. to the 1900 block of W. York Street in North Philadelphia, where they found a man with a gunshot wound to his head, police said. Medics pronounced the victim, described as being in his late 20s or 30s, dead at the scene, according to investigators.

A 22-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition after being shot in his abdomen and wrist just before 3:30 a.m. Monday on the 5800 block of Pulaski Avenue in Germantown, authorities said.

In Northeast Philadelphia, someone shot a 19-year-old man in his back and wrist at around 2:30 a.m. Monday on the 2600 block of Welsh Road, police said.

He was initially taken to Nazareth Hospital before being airlifted to Temple University Hospital in critical condition, according to authorities.

Also at around 2:30 a.m., a 44-year-old man showed up to Jeanes Hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg, police said.

Investigators said he was shot on the 900 block of E. Godfrey Avenue in the Crescentville section of Northeast Philadelphia. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

No one was arrested in the immediate aftermath of any of the early morning shootings.
