1 killed, 4 injured in weekend shootings across Philadelphia

A teenager was killed in North Philadelphia, and four other people were wounded in shootings over the weekend across the city.

Authorities said an 18-year-old man was shot multiple times in his chest and neck just before 4:15 a.m. Sunday on the 3400 block of Judson Street in the Tioga neighborhood. Medical personnel declared him dead at the scene.

Police have not identified the victim, and no arrests have been made. There was no word Sunday on a motive in the killing.

Through Saturday, three people had been murdered this year in Philadelphia, according to PPD data.

A 35-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his right arm walked into Jefferson Frankford Hospital at around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, investigators said. Police said they were unsure Sunday of the location of the shooting. The victim was listed in stable condition.

Two men were struck when gunfire erupted just after 5 p.m. Saturday on the 400 block of W. Lehigh Avenue in Fairhill, authorities said.

A 25-year-old man was shot in his stomach and right side, and the other victim, a 45-year-old man, suffered wounds to his back, left side and arm, according to police. Both were taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition.

In Kensington, someone shot a 20-year-old man in his right arm just before 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the corner of Rorer and Clearfield streets, investigators said. The victim ran to nearby Hartville Street, where officers picked him up and took him to the hospital. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
