TruMark Financial Credit Union is holding an interesting event tonight at the Piazza at Schmidts.
As part of the 2011 Kiss-A-Pig financial literacy fundraiser, 17 people agreed to pucker up in order to raise funds to teach inner-city schoolchildren about saving, borrowing and investing.
The participants began gathering donations on June 24 and will fulfill their pledge by kissing a potbelly named Bubbles during a ceremony at 5:30 p.m. A trophy will be presented to the person who raises the most money.
The goal is to reach $15,000 dollars.
Donations can be made online or mailed to:
