Police and the FBI are seeking the public’s help in locating a suspect who allegedly robbed the same New Jersey bank twice and is known to have ties to North Philadelphia.
Jeffrey Lynn Garrett, Jr., 34, allegedly robbed the JP Morgan Chase Bank on the 1800 block of Klockner Road in Mercerville on November 10, 2010 and on August 23 of this year.
In the second incident, he allegedly shot the teller in the stomach. She later recovered.
A federal arrest warrant was issued for Garett’s alleged involvement in the first robbery in November of 2010.
Authorities say the 6-foot-one, 220-pound man should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI-PPD Violent Crimes Task Force at 215-418-4800.
