Vegan Bake Sale for Direct Relief for Puerto Rico & Australia

Pick up some vegan sweet treats while raising funds to help people impacted by the recent earthquake in Puerto Rico and bushfires in Australia. Tattooed Mom teams up with Point Breeze vegan restaurant V Marks the Shop and Vegan Restaurant Week to take over Tattooed Mom’s second floor with all the vegan desserts you can eat. All of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to Direct Relief. It’s also Meatless Monday at Tattooed Mom, which means their entire vegan menu is half off from noon to 10 p.m.

Authors Up Close: Monument Lab

Don’t miss this fascinating talk to learn about what makes a monument appropriate and relevant for Philadelphia. Monument Lab, an ongoing art initiative known for a series of 20 installations back in 2017, compiled their work and research into a book. “Monument Lab: Creative Speculations for Philadelphia” provides in-depth explanations of each installation and the research behind it. Join Monument Lab curators and book editors Paul M. Farber and Ken Lum to hear about the book and what’s next for them.

Dinner with Chef Jose Garces and Chef Chris Kearse

Chef Jose Garces presents a limited series of collaboration dinners with French chefs. In honor of Volver’s current menu featuring 20 French dishes, he’s teaming up with some of Philly’s finest to showcase even more French cooking. The dinner series kicks off this week with Chris Kearse (Forsythia) joining Volver’s kitchen. The prix fixe menu includes a classic foie gras, a decadent salted caramel St. Honoré and a mushroom cassoulet. Dinner price includes a signature cocktail and two wine pairings.

Dunedin Consort

See Gramaphone award-winning ensemble Dunedin Consort during their Philadelphia debut at an intimate venue. Known for their energetic and fresh takes on classic Bach pieces, the Consort is Scotland’s leading baroque group. Their appearance this week also features mezzo-soprano soloist Meg Bragle, an Artist in Residence at the University of Pennsylvania.

Lizzo Quizzo

It’s an entire Quizzo night and dance party dedicated to the chart-topping singer and current Rolling Stone cover star. This all-in-one event doubles as a fundraiser for music education and empowerment for non-profit Girls Rock Philly. In addition to the trivia game, get ready to enjoy an entire Lizzo-themed night of fun. DJ Na$h and DJ Hvnlee are teaming up to play both your favorite hits from Lizzo herself as well as some of the music that inspires her. Check out the small vendor pop-up to purchase goodies like Lizzo-themed lip gloss and enter a raffle to win vinyl from Brewerytown Beats.
