1. The Amusement Parks
The classic family destination is known for a lot, but one of the most eye-catching parts of this summer hotspot are the rides and attractions that you can see from miles away. This season, almost everything has opened back up at all three piers: Surfside, Mariner’s and Adventure. In total, Morey’s offers rides and attractions for kids, families, those looking for a thrill and those who are looking to walk more on the wild side with some extreme options. The latter comes in the form of the Skycoaster, Skyscraper and Springshot—just from the names you can clue in that you’ll be getting some air. Other popular attractions amongst the trio of piers include the Ghost Ship, The Great White Rollercoaster, Sea Serpent, Balloon Race, Giant Wheel, Kite Flyer, Jack in the Box, Kiddie Boats and more.
2. The Water Parks
The rides may catch your eye right away, but what really cools families down on a summer day are the two waterpark options that Morey’s has to offer. Visitors can choose between either the Ocean Oasis Water Park and Beach Clubs, or the Raging Waters Water Park. Both spots offer the essential slides and experiences you would find at most aquatic parks with their own unique themes, but there are some standout must-trys at each. At Ocean, there’s the Bonsai Beach portion which acts as its own mini water park inside a water park (great for families) and the Wipeout race slides, which are a quick but powerful waterslide for those looking for some speed and a bit of fun competition. With Raging Waters, there’s the River Adventure which features geysers, waterfalls and a grotto to explore, and the Shipwreck Shoals which puts you at the center of your own pirate adventure. Ocean also has a swim-up bar, while both parks offer cabana rentals and food to enjoy.
4. Starlux Mini Golf
With so much to do, having another activity at Morey’s might seem impossible, but with their mini golf, guests can explore three different themed courses (boardwalk, ocean and beach) while also being able to indulge in Kohrs Brother’s Ice Cream and make your own s’mores by a fire pit. Visitors who do want to try their hand in the game can head straight across from the Wildwood sign to find all of the action.
5. The Food
Throughout everything mentioned above, there is a bevy of food options to keep visitors enticed and happy. At Pig Dog Beach + BBQ for example, diners can sink their teeth into smoked pulled pork, brisket, mac n cheese, loaded fries and much more. On top of also offering spirits (such as their bloody mary and frozen cocktails), pups can also sink their teeth into some doggie ice cream at this pet-friendly spot. Pig Dog also boasts beach-side games and a beach bar. On the other hand, at Wilhelm’s Biergarten, visitors can much on German-inspired food and beer such as a Bavarian pretzel, pirogies, and bacon knockwurst while washing it down with an ice-cold draft in a stein. At Joe’s Fish Co., another popular spot, the menu spans with all things seafood including crab dip, lobster deviled eggs, Cape May oysters, a salmon BLT, sesame-crusted tuna, a crabby pretzel and much more. Other eateries at Morey’s worth visiting include Jumbos’ Grub & Pub and Stubborn Bros Beach Bar + Grille, on top of many to-go and quick service options.
