In celebration of its one-year anniversary, 48 Record Bar is welcoming back Philadelphia-based-and-inspired apparel studio South Fellini for an evening of music and merchandise, remixing the City of Brotherly Love’s iconography into fun parodies and colorful mashups.
Nearly one year to the day after South Fellini headlined the venue’s opening night, creatives Tony and Joanna Trov will be on-hand DJing and selling their signature merchandise alongside co-DJ and 48 Record Bar Creative Director Joey Sweeney.
Those attending the anniversary celebration, which will take place on Thursday, Dec. 12, at 8 p.m., will enjoy the offerings of South Fellini while sipping on 48 Record Bar’s brand-new winter cocktail menu, which will debut the same day.
Over its year spent in the heart of Old City, perched above the legendary Sassafras, the high-tech listening room and cocktail bar have endeared themselves to Philadelphians by their stated mission to bring people together by listening to records. The bar also draws inspiration from the tiny but legendary audiophile bars that have long accompanied Japan’s obsessive record-collecting culture.
48 Record Bar is located at 48 S. 2nd St. For more information, visit 48recordbar.com.
