Abduction victim found beaten in North Phila parking lot

An apparent abduction victim was discovered in a North Philadelphia shopping center parking lot last night, police said.

The 27-year-old man was found at 8:20 p.m. in a lot at 22nd Street and Lehigh Avenue. He was bound and suffering from head injuries.

The victim told police he was kidnapped and beaten. He is currently in stable condition at Temple University Hospital.

Investigators questioned two people in connection with the incident, but released them.

No arrests have yet been made and a motive has not been released.
