Police have identified two men killed yesterday in two separate incidents.
Julio Ceasar Hernandez, 46, was shot in an alley near his home on the 3900 block of Palmetto Street in Juniata Park around 11:30 a.m. His hands were bound with electrical wire and he suffered multiple gunshot wounds, including two to the head, police said. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Investigators are listing the motive as robbery. Police said the victim was known to authorities due to prior drug-related arrests.
Authorities said yesterd ay they were looking for two black men who fled in a white four-door vehicle. No arrests have yet been made.
Alonzo Lewis, 77, of the unit block of Conestoga Court in Chadds Ford, was hit by a car around 6:40 p.m. while crossing the intersection of Henry Avenue and School House Lane in East Falls. He died at Temple University Hospital about 35 minutes later.
The driver stopped at the scene and no charges have yet been filed.
