Animal rights orgs offer $2,000 reward to find person who shot cat with arrow

Animal advocacygroups are joining forces to bring the person who shot a cat with an arrow to justice.

A total of $2,000 in reward money is on the table for anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect, Philly.com reported.The incident happened on June 11 on Willow Street in Delanco Township.

Showing Animals Respect and Kindness (SHARK) put up $1,000,The Burlington County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals put up $500 and the SPCAalso put up $500, NJ.com reported.

Police reportedly found the female cat and removed part of the arrow before taking her to a vet. The cat was wounded, but expected to survive.

“The person who shot that poor animal with a crossbow is a danger to humans and animals alike, and they need to be held accountable for what they did,” Steve Hindi, SHARK president, said in a statement.
