Arcade Fire cover Boyz II Men’s ‘Motownphilly’ at Wells Fargo Center

Arcade Fire covered Boyz II Men’s “Motownphilly” during their show at Wells Fargo Center on Monday night.

“Motownphilly” was the debut single off the Philadelphia R&B group’s 1991 debut album, “Cooleyhighharmony.” It reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Arcade Fire are on tour following the October release of their “Reflektor” album. The band apparently has been paying homage to each of its tour stops by playing songs by musicians from the area.

“Motownphilly” was the second song Arcade Fire performed during the encore at their St. Patrick’s Day show.
