The Archdiocese of Philadelphia has come to a tentative agreement with the Association of Catholic Teachers, Local 1776, for a new contract for lay teachers in the 17 Archdiocesan high schools, according to a joint statement released today.
Teachers will vote on the terms tomorrow at 10 a.m. during a general membership meeting of the union. If they ratify the agreement, teachers will return to their schools for orientation after the meeting and classes will resume Tuesday.
Both parties have agreed not to comment until after the vote.
There still will be no class for Archdiocesan high school students tomorrow.
