Authorities are investigating an arson after they found a burning car in North Philadelphia.
Police received a call around 5 a.m. of a car on fire on the 900
block of Brown Street. The fire department responded and extinguished
the blaze.
The Fire Marshall’s Office examined the scene and
determined that someone stuffed a rag in the gas tank, then poured
accelerate into the fuel tank to ignite the fire. They deemed it a case of arson.
No motive has been established and no arrests have yet been made.
