Authorities seek armed bank robbery suspect

The FBI and Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s help identifying the suspect in Tuesday’s armed robbery of a 3rd Federal Bank branch in Frankford.

The robbery happened about 9:05 a.m. at the bank at 4625 Frankford Ave., police said.

The suspect entered the bank, produced a handgun and demanded money from a teller. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Authorities describe the suspect as a thin, black male, 20 years old and about 5 feet 11 inches tall. He was wearing a dark hoodie and a dark baseball cap.

Police ask anyone with information about the suspect to call the FBI/Philadelphia Police Department Violent Crimes Task Force at 215-418-4000.
