Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden spent part of his Election Day in Philadelphia, where he has spent much of his time in the waning days of the campaign.
The Inquirer reported that he spoke to supporters outside West Oak Lane’s Relish, a restaurant that serves as a base for some political leaders, telling them, “Philly’s the key.”
Biden also addressed campaign volunteers in the Ogontz section of North Philadelphia, according to the Inquirer, and conducted press interviews at the National Constitution Center.
Both candidates have made Pennsylvania a priority, but Biden has increasingly focused on Philadelphia.
His running mate, U.S. Senator Kamala Harris, held a rally Monday night that featured John Legend outside Citizens Bank Park.
On Sunday, Biden held a pair of drive-in events in the city.
“The power of change in this country is literally in your hands,” he told people gathered at Sharon Baptist Church in West Philadelphia, the site of one of those rallies.
The Biden campaign will hope for a record turnout in Philadelphia, where Democrats greatly outnumber Republicans.
