Fashion District Philadelphia is the place to be this Black Friday. Shoppers can catch the best deals of the season starting at 8 a.m. Santa will make a grand entrance on at 10:45 a.m. Come out with the entire family and welcome him to Philadelphia with a Santa procession, complimentary reindeer ears for children, vouchers for a complimentary 5×7 photo (one per family) and a complimentary holiday cookie from Tiffany’s for the first 75 kids (13 and under). Photos with Santa will start at 11 a.m. right after the procession.
Spanning three city blocks, the Fashion District features over 800,000 square feet of shopping including flagship brands, traditional outlet retail, experiential dining and entertainment, along with public art and a full slate of events. The Fashion District Philadelphia houses 80 brands including anchors Primark, AMC, Round 1 and top-performing Nike, H&M, and Ulta Beauty.
“Fashion District Philadelphia is transforming into a shopping, dining and entertainment winter wonderland,” said Fashion District General Manager Ryan Williams, CMD. “We are Center City’s one-stop shop for everything on Santa’s wish list. Come ready for gifts galore, holiday happenings, festive vibes, magical family memories and even giving back. This is the most wonderful time in the City of Brotherly Love — and we look forward to celebrating with everyone.”
Philadelphians can also support small and local businesses on Small Business Saturday this weekend, on Nov. 30, including Maison Philly Fashion Week, The Little Hot Dog Wagon, Kids Kastle, REC Philly, Tiffany’s Bakery and more.
For those looking to add a touch of generosity to their holiday celebrations, the mall introduces its partnership with Cradle to Crayons, to drive donations of warm-weather items for low-income families. The mall encourages families to dig deep into their closets and donate from the heart. Coats, hats, sweaters, scarves, and other warm-weather items will be collected during all holiday events. From Nov. 29 to Dec. 24, support local children in need by donating new or like-new essential items suitable for children (valued at $5 or more) and receive a special thank-you gift.
The Light the World Giving Machines are back at Fashion District as well. The Giving Machines are popular ‘vending machines’ that work in reverse by giving users an opportunity to donate a variety of much-needed items for local and global charities. The three Giving Machines will raise money for six charities this year, including Philabundance, Interfaith Philabundance/ Zones of Peace, Mt. Airy Church of God of Christ, Ministry of Caring, Days for Girls, and Mentors International. The Giving Machines are located inside The Cube at Fashion District Philadelphia (9th and Market entrance) through Dec. 4.
