The Jamie Moyer renaissance continues.
The 47-year-old lefty threw seven strong innings yesterday and the Phillies took advantage of four Toronto errors in an 11-2 win at Citizens Bank Park.
Moyer (9-6) surrendered just two runs on six hits, improving his ERA to 1.95 in his last three starts. The win was the 267th of his career, leaving him within one of tying Jim Palmer for 34th on the all-time list.
At the plate, the Phillies once again put on a clinic. Ben Francisco led the way, going 3-for-5 with two RBIs.
Jimmy Rollins went 3-for-6 with two RBIs and Ryan Howard scored three runs. The Phillies have now scored 40 runs in their past five games while winning eight of their last 11 games.
Brett Cecil took the loss for the Blue Jays, who committed four errors, a passed ball and allowed six unearned runs.
