Fans of this column will recall reading the rumor that Volver – Jose Garces’ pricey restaurant at the Kimmel – would eventually cease ticket sales and drop prices due to a slow summer. That someday is now, as Volver has dropped ticketing and prices (it’s now six courses for $75 and 12 for $150), and the rule that only even-numbered parties can book. Plus, Bar Volver is launching a guest bartender series beginning tonight at 5 p.m. with Hop Sing Laundromat owner Lee.

Philly rapper Meek Mill is in the stir for a probation violation, but that hasn’t stopped him from ending a beef with Wale. But he is moving the release of his “Dreams Worth More Than Money” from October to a date TBD, according to label boss Rick Ross, who wants Meek on hand to promote it.

Philly’s Four Seasons Hotel has a newly renamed bar, The Lounge, and its Fountain Restaurant is a highlight of local fine dining. Now there’s also a food truck run by Fountain chef Peter Rosenblatt to expand the brand. The vehicle is in its One Logan Square driveway today, with stops at Independence Hall and the Art Museum later this week.

The Goldex condo at 315 N. 12th Street is adding a restaurant/bar courtesy of B&M Hospitality, with a liquor license transfer via Port Richmond Pour House, which closed in 2013. While it’s unknown if anyone associated with Pour House is involved, the sleek Goldex tower should house something swanky.

“Good Day Philadelphia” hosts Mike Jerrick and Alex Holley joined pregnant PR honcho Nicole Cashman and her publicity crew when they cut the ribbon on Cashman & Associates’ new Old City digs at 232 N. Second St.

Philly actor Scott Greer is setting a nightly Arden Theatre record during his solo in the first scene of the raucous comedy “La Bete,” which runs until Oct. 11. “We time it every night — 30 to 31 minutes,” says Arden producing artistic director Terry Nolen. “Scott eats a hot dog during it. With mustard.”

Wells Fargo Center sell-out stars The Black Keys and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers both made nice with the backstage crew and took photos, but only Petty got deep-fried peanut butter and jelly sandwiches courtesy of South Philly Taproom chef/owner Scott Schroeder.
