A weekend away in Atlantic City can be a treat, but a trip to Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa aims to be even sweeter.

The coastal-side venue hosts everything you would expect to find at an AC locale—entertainment venues, bars, gaming, a spa, and even a few different pools—but it also houses plenty of fixtures that position it to stand out.

To break it down into numbers, Borgata boasts 2,000 hotel rooms and suites, 176 gaming tables, 2,549 slot machines, 75+ poker tables, 15 retail boutiques, 14 different dining options, two entertainment venues, and one massive spa. That’s not even counting the recently re-vamped MGM Tower, which holds its own set of draws in the form of 5 retail shops, 757 rooms and two indoor and two outdoor heated pools—each with their own personality.

But to break it down into experience, each section of the venue is meant to stand out. Food and drink wise, there is a ton to choose from.

The property houses some stand-outs in the fine dining arena: Old Homestead for one is the sister spot of the oldest steakhouses in the country (NYC’s Old Homestead). The locale serves up cuts of meat as its main event (including Wagyu), but its raw bar, appetizers and sides spanning clams casino, lobster mac and cheese, heavy cut bacon and meatballs also deserve their own moment. To finish things off on a sweet note, this venue also features some hard hitters like a decadent (and large) slice of chocolate cake.

Angeline on the other hand comes from chef Michael Symon, and it focuses on hand-crafted Italian favorites in the form of arancini, veal marsala, bucatini, ravioli, “Mom’s” lasagna and an assortment of sweet bites spanning cannolis, cakes and other bite-sized treats.

Borgata also features American Bar & Grill and B Prime Steakhouse. With the former, diners can find local ingredients and a seasonal menu, with the latter, sea-food and steak lovers will find plenty of options.

The property also boasts a bit more casual lunch and dinner picks with its Baking Company, The Metropolitan, The Wine Bar, and a few other options. But the stand-out is definitely N.O.W. (Noodles of the World.) The concept has been at the Borgata for years, and despite it being in a new location, NOW still serves up its fan-favorite stir-fry’s, pho, spring rolls, wok options and an assortment of specials (pro-tip, try the garlic walnut shrimp when it’s on there.)

Borgata has a few hidden gems (like a daiquiri bar and food court on the lower level), but a very apparent draw comes from the entertainment. In one weekend, the resort will see a ballad-belting Sarah Mclaughlin hit the stage one night, the energetic classic rock group Duran Duran the next, and even DJ Pauly D making an appearance at their nightclub (Premier) somewhere in between.

The Music Box is one of two venues at the property, and this one is known to be more intimate. The Event Center on the other hand features 30,000 square feet of space for acts to come and perform. Upcoming talent headed to the Borgata include Jerry Seinfeld, John Legend, Taylor Dane and even ‘Dancing with the Stars: Live!’ With the latter, Emmy Award winner Mandy Moore will return to choreograph and direct this year’s tour.

Gaming-wise, the property is a haven for those who are looking to get lucky. And they even highlight the advancements in this field with each upgrade (look in the future to find dual play baccarat and roulette.) That includes options for people around the world to watch some of the tables set at the Casino in Atlantic City online as well.

And last (but certainly not least) Spa Toccare is a destination in its own right. The spa offers massages, body treatments, facials, facial waxing, and couple experiences with the added bonus of pools, steam rooms, a sauna, and jacuzzies. Speaking of swimming, in total, the Borgata has five pools, including an indoor pool with a new splash pad for all ages and an outdoor pool with reservable daybeds, 11 new cabanas (18 total), and a beer garden for the warmer months.

With so many interests packed under one roof, every experience is meant to bring people together. All you have to do is book your trip, pack and arrive with an open mind.
