On Thursday, Nov. 11, Boston Market partnered with celebrity Chef Robert Irvine to feed veterans at the Delaware Valley Veterans Home in honor of Veterans’ Day. Nearly 300 vets and their families enjoyed roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, veggies and dinner rolls for lunch outside.
Earlier this year the Robert Irvine Foundation partnered with Boston Market on special menu items with a percentage of the proceeds going to the foundation which supports American heroes. The Robert Irvine Foundation assists military—active, retired and veterans— as well as first responders, their families, and those in need through resiliency, health and wellness programs, in addition to the financial support.
“I’m incredibly grateful to the folks at Boston Market for partnering with me and my foundation on such an exciting partnership,” Irvine notes. “Food does so much more than nourish our bodies, it has incredible power to bring people together.”
