An 8-year-old boy has died following a hit-and-run accident Wednesday night in Lindenwold, officials said.
Authorities have arrested and charged Michael Finkelman, 57, of Pine Hill Borough. Police said Finkelman was driving near the intersection of White Horse Pike and Elm Avenue in Lindenwold on Wednesday night as the boy and his family walked to a PATCO station after spending the day at Clementon Park. The boy, whose name has not been released, was hit as he crossed the street.
Finkelman allegedly fled the scene, but another motorist followed him and reported his license plate number to police. He is charged with leaving the scene of a serious crash.
