Brittany Lynn heads to Resorts for a fabulously good cause

The fabulous Brittany Lynn is taking her act to the seaside town of Atlantic City for a special cause. With the Witches and Warlocks Cabaret Fundraiser, the Philly Drag Mafia founder will bring some of her friends and lend a hand as part of Resorts Casino & Hotel’s Breast Cancer awareness month.

As a centerpiece for the casino’s campaign—which has featured many events and activations throughout the month of October— this particular showcase will feature well-known queen’s such as Ariel Versace, Chasity St. Cartier, Gay Sinatra and Morgan Wells. Live singing guests like DJ Albie will also join the fun this Saturday, Oct. 22.

Known as a driving force in both Philadelphia’s drag and charity world, Lynn has made an impact on the City of Brotherly Love and beyond with her energetic shows, appearances and connections in the LGBTQ+ community.

However, at Temple University, the drag queen studied Journalism and PR, and that led her to land a few gigs which ultimately helped launch her career. One was Editor at Philly Gay News (which she landed right out of college after doing a book review for the publication), and the other was becoming the PR and Advertising Director for 1-800-Gay-Live.

Giving back led to working with every gay charity that was around, and at one point, she was working with at least 15 to 16 charities in Philly alone—including with Drag Queen Storytime.

Drag Queen Storytime began in 2015 with the Philadelphia Public Library System, and then it moved on to museums and then Parks and Rec. Now, the activation is also in some schools—including Northeast High School, Kensington CAPA, some colleges, and possibly, will be picked up at elementary schools as part of their curriculum.

For this particular showcase however, Lynn will be bringing her sights, sounds and assistance to Resorts, with ‘Witches and Warlocks’ supporting the Casino’s Real Men Pink Wear Pink campaign.

According to a release, this fundraiser cabaret will take place inside the Screening Room at Resorts Casino Hotel, which is an intimate 300-seat venue located on the 13th level of Ocean Tower. The event features a Meet & Mingle from 7 to 8 p.m., followed by the main event from 8 to 10 p.m.
