Three people are in the hospital after a house fire tore through a home in the Burholme section of Philadelphia Tuesday night, 6ABC reported.
Firefighters received the call to respond to a blaze at 8:30 p.m. on the 1100 block of Napfle Avenue. The fire reportedly took a half-hour to control.

Philly.com reported that the three people taken to Aria Health-Torresdale Campus for monitoring were an 11-year-old boy, a 14-year-old girl and a 60-year-old woman.

According to Maria Layne, 32, who lives in the house, the fire began in the living room when everyone was getting ready for bed. She told Philly.com her 5-year-old son and boyfriend were also in the house but escaped unharmed.
