There’s also a spot in Chestnut Hill where you can profit for the old items in your home for decluttering. The nonprofit Bird in Hand Consignment Shop (8419 Germantown Ave.) accepts china and fine houseware, art, and jewelry and is staffed entirely by volunteers. Food is a huge part of the city’s cultural scene, and if you want to expand your culinary palette, there are a few ways to achieve that in Chestnut Hill. If you’re in the market to get some new appliances, Kitchen Kapers (8530 Germantown Ave.) is your spot with hundreds of kitchen wares like big-name brands like Le Creuset, KitchenAid and Cuisinart. Another tasty option for beginning foodies is from Evergreen Cheese (184 East Evergreen Ave.). MIXD is a full-service salon with hair, skin, and body treatments, while Coco Blue relaxing manicure, pedicure, or massages and other spa services. Philadelphians can also head to DanceFit’s (98 Bethlehem Pike) boutique dance fitness studio. Sweat out 2020 during one of DanceFit’s virtual classes, which includes Zumba, Hip Fit, and Ballet BarreFit.
