A 5-year-old child was injured in a hit-and-run accident in Southwest Philadelphia on Tuesday morning.
The accident happened about 7 a.m. at 52nd Street and Baltimore Avenue, NBC10 reported, and police are looking for a gray Pontiac minivan bearing Pennsylvania license plate HCA5975.
The driver reportedly stopped, exited the minivan and looked back toward where the child was struck before getting back in the vehicle and driving away.
Philadelphia police closed a stretch of 52nd Street for about an hour to investigate.
The child, whose age, name and gender were not included in the report, was taken to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
