Cole, a converted guard, will battle Mike McGlynn for the starting center job until Jamaal Jackson is ready. The 6-foot, 350-pounder bombed his audition last year, but Andy Reid has stated that Cole is his guy. He’ll have to prove it.
Nate Allen
The rookie has never taken an NFL snap and still doesn’t have a contract, yet he’s penciled in as the starting free safety. Allen has the speed to keep up with NFL receivers, but can he play inside the box? If he can’t, Quintin Mikell’s play will suffer.
Stewart Bradley
The Eagles started six different players at middle linebacker last season, including over-the-hill backer Jeremiah Trotter. They ranked 19th in points allowed (21.1) and were vulnerable vs. the run. A healthy Bradley can fix that.
