A day before an important hearing for his case, Bill Cosby decided to sue the woman who accused him of sexual assault more than a decade ago.
Cosby has filed a lawsuit against Andrea Constand, her lawyer, her mother, and the publisher of the National Enquirer, according to ABC News.

Those named in the lawsuit were reportedly all subject to confidentiality clauses that covered the settlement of lawsuits that Constand filed against Cosby and the tabloid in 2005.
Constand had accused Cosby of drugging and molesting her at his home in Philadelphia 2004, Q13 Fox reported. The complaint wasn’t prosecuted until new prosecutors reopened it last year.
Cosby was arrested in December and as part of the investigation, authorities interviewed Constand and her mother and got files from her lawyer.
The entertainer filed the breach-of-contract lawsuit the day before a Feb. 2 criminal court hearing, according to ABC News.

During the hearing, Constand’s lawyer, Dolores Troiani, mentioned that Cosby had sued her but she did go further into detail, ABC News added. The judge warned Cosby’s lawyers to not accuse Troiani of breaking the agreement because she had received a subpoena to testify.
Cosby is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on March 8. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison.
