Decomposed body found in abandoned North Philly home

Police are working to identify a badly decomposed body found in a North Philadelphia house late Thursday.

Around 5 p.m., police arrived at an abandoned house on the 2200 block of North Chadwick Street, Philly.com reported. There, they found the body in the first-floor living room of the vacant house, Chief Inspector Scott Small stated in the report.

Police believe the decomposed body is possibly that of a woman, according to the Morning Call, which added that Small said the skull showed signs of trauma. The death is considered suspicious pending the medical examiner’s analysis.
