Delaware teen’s father finds dead baby under her bed

Police in New Castle County, Del., are investigating the discovery of a decomposed fetus in a home Sunday night.

A Delaware man found his teenage daughter’s baby dead inside their New Castle County home Sunday night.

The father found the decomposing body in a shoebox under his 15-year-old daughter’s bed, 6ABC Action News reports. He made the discovery while cleaning the bedroom of the girl, who was visiting her mother.

New Castle County police were summoned to the3800 block of Eunice Avenue in the community of Dunlinden Acres about 9:20 p.m. Sunday.

Police have determined the 15-year-old girl is the mother of the baby. Autopsy results are pending.

The father reportedly never knew his daughter was pregnant.
