Police are looking for a man who violently attacked a driver after a dirt bike accident earlier this week in South Philadelphia.

A 35-second clip of the incident, which occurred just after 6 p.m. Tuesday, went viral, with more than 1 million views on Twitter by Thursday afternoon.

The driver, a 25-year-old man, was heading north on the 1100 block of Broad Street behind a group of dirt bikes and ATVs. At one point, authorities said, the bikes stopped abruptly, causing a collision with the car.

Investigators said the driver got out to check on the dirt bike rider, who became aggressive and demanded money. Bikes surrounded the victim as the man assaulted him, and he was eventually able to get back into his car.

Cell phone video shows the man slamming the car door on the driver. He walked over to the bikes and grabbed a gun, but turned back after people nearby told him not to use the weapon.

Before the group fled the scene, the suspect threw cinder blocks and bricks at the car, breaking multiple windows.

Police said the driver suffered minor injuries, including cuts from the broken glass.

Detectives described the suspect as a Black man, approximately 27 years old, with blonde braided hair. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans at the time and riding a green dirt bike.
