Drink Philly Celebrates First Friday One Year Anniversary (PHOTOS)

Drink Philly held the one year anniversary of its monthly First Friday party Friday night, partnering with Alex’s Lemonade Stand offshoot the Lemon Society, which caters to 21-and-up professionals.

The event featured an adult lemonade stand serving lemon moonshine margaritas made with Philadelphia Distilling’s XXX Shine White Whiskey (and later, when the whiskey ran out, gin and tonics featuring the company’s Bluecoat gin). Over 425 people came to the free party, making it the largest in Drink Philly’s history.

Cuisine was donated by the Khyber Pass Pub. There was also live jazz and works from local artists Britt Miller, Ben Friedl, Caitlin Conners, Joseph Sipala, Ben Nelson and Frank Sipala.

30 percent of art sale proceeds and 100 percent of all door donations benefited Alex’s Lemonade Stand.
