A Tioga man is behind bars for allegedly driving drunk and ramming into a police cruiser early Thursday.
Shortly after midnight, officers observed a white Pontiac run a red light near Allegheny and E Street. Minutes later, cops spotted the vehicle in a parking lot at Girard and Susquehanna avenues in Fishtown. They approached the vehicle when the suspect allegedly rammed into their police cruiser being used as a barricade.
No one was injured. Alberto Santana, 35, of the 3600 block of North Darien Street was arrested and charged with DUI and assault.
