It took just three games for the Deshaun Watson to Philadelphia Eagles rumors to start gaining steam once again.

Chris Simms of NBC Sports’ Pro Football Talk reported that the Eagles general manager Howie Roseman was given “the green light” by owner Jeffrey Lurie to re-engage the Houston Texans in trade talks for the All-Pro quarterback who is facing legal trouble after 22 women came forward and accused him of sexual misconduct and sexual assault.

With that and a fallout with front-office brass, Watson has not appeared in a game this season for Houston despite leading the NFL in passing yards last season.

On top of the red flags of his character, there is also the little problem that Watson reportedly won’t waive his no-trade clause to join the Eagles. Instead, FOX’s Jay Glazer reported on Sunday that the Miami Dolphins were the team to watch after their highly-touted young quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, went down with an injury.

The Texans have eased up on what they want in return, suggesting that they won’t be asking for a king’s ransom.

Will that be enough to coax the Eagles into starting up talks again? That remains to be seen. But it would certainly send the wrong kind of message to Jalen Hurts, who is just three games into his new role as the No. 1 quarterback in Philadelphia.
