Eagles fly high on road to Vick-tory

Michael Vick left Ford Field with his ego high after leading the Eagles to a 35-32 victory yesterday over the Lions. The Eagles have exploded for 52 points in his last six quarters with Vick under center.

“Having the opportunity, he was like a kid in the candy store,”? Eagles coach Andy Reid said.

His play was vintage Vick, as he dodged blitzes and turned on the burners for a few double-digit scrambles. Sometimes, Vick amazed himself. He finished 21-of-34 for 284 yards and two touchdowns for a QB rating of 108.0.

“It’s God-given ability. Sometimes, I don’t even know where it’s coming from,”? he said.

After he threw a 45-yard score to DeSean Jackson in the first quarter, the receiver symbolically passed the torch when he handed the ball to Vick.

“I told him, ‘This is the first of it — the first of you throwing me many touchdowns,’” Jackson said.

Reid reiterated that the starter is Kevin Kolb, who was cleared by an independent neurologist and team doctors. Kolb is expected to practice Wednesday and should start Sunday in Jacksonville.
