East Passyunk Restaurant Week spices up details for 2024

If you haven’t been to the lively South Philly neighborhood of East Passyunk in a while, you now have a very tasty incentive to do so.

From Monday, Feb. 26, through Friday, March 8, Philadelphians can indulge in everything that East Passyunk Restaurant Week has to offer. This annual event, from the East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District, is in its 12th year and features restaurants offering expanded price points serving three-course prix fixe lunch and/or dinner options. Diners can check out the meals for indoor/outdoor dining service, or for some takeaway deals.

“East Passyunk Restaurant Week is designed to showcase the wide diversity of restaurants, chefs and menus up and down the Avenue,” said EPABID Executive Director Rebecca O’Leary in a statement. “As the new Executive Director, I am thrilled to see so many award-winning restaurants of all sizes and backgrounds stepping up with menus that bring together avenue favorites from over the years with new and exclusive dishes debuting just for this event. For foodies, this event is truly a win-win.”

Price points range depending on the establishment, and the options for cuisines range even more with French to Italian to Vietnamese and beyond being served up. As a release states, this year patrons can also expect prix-fixe lunch and/or dinner menus from newcomers, as well as returning favorites, priced at $20, $30, $40, and $55 for exclusive, elevated experiences.

O’Leary added, “East Passyunk’s food scene is one of the most diverse and unique in the city, with dozens of restaurants serving up Vietnamese, Indian, American, Italian, Mexican, British, French, Southern, Dutch, Spanish, Jamaican and so much more. You can take a tasting trip around the world in six blocks with our celebration of global cuisine. I like to think of East Passyunk’s Restaurant Week as your passport to all those amazing flavors.”

In the $20 and $30 range, Philadelphians can find stops at Stargazy, The Palace of Indian, Stogie Joe’s and P’unk Burger among others. Another spot in that range, Ocho Rios Parilla, will be serving up Caribbean fare for both lunch and dinner such as saltfish fritters, curry shrimp, and Dunn’s River Brisket served with mac and cheese.

In the $40 range the options begin to expand more with offerings from Bing Bing Dim Sum, Noir, La Scala’s Birra, Perla, Ember and Ash, Stateside and Flannel. The latter all-day breakfast, lunch and dinner spot serving up comfort food will be plating deviled eggs with pimento cheese, Memphis BBQ pork eggrolls, a low country boil, sweet bourbon shrimp and grits and a strawberry shortcake biscuit for East Passyunk Restaurant Week.
