The Fishtown RiverCity Festival has activities for a wide range of people. The festival, which is free, is set for Saturday Oct. 8 at Penn Treaty Park by the Delaware River.

“We do everything we can to include local flavor in drawing our sponsors, local organizations, food trucks and local breweries,” spokesman for RiverCity Festival Neil Brecher said.

The Fishtown RiverCity Festival is brought together by the Fishtown Neighbors Association in order to build community, promote businesses in the area, and showcase the neighborhood. The festival begins at noon with the 5k FUN Run and will go until about 6 p.m.

The 5k FUN RUN, which will take place throughout the Fishtown neighborhood, will start and end at Penn Treaty Park.
