Five Stabbed in Penn Treaty Park Knife Fight

Five people are injured after a knife fight in Penn Treaty park last night.

The fight occurred shortly before 1:30 a.m. between a group of youths on the 1300 block of Beach Street.

A 23-year-old man was stabbed four times in the neck and back and is in critical condition at Temple Hospital. A 15-year-old man was stabbed once in the back, a 19-year-old woman was stabbed four times in the back, stomach and wrist; a 21-year-old man suffered a box cutter laceration to the nose and an 18-year-old man was sliced on the arm with a box cutter. All four were taken to Episcopal Hospital in private vehicles.

The 15-year-old was transferred to St. Christopher’s and is in stable condition, along with the two other men. The 19-year-old woman was transferred to Temple in critical condition.

There is no word on a motive and no arrests have been made.
