Flyers host Avs at home

The good news is the Flyers are in first place.

The bad news is it’s only two games into the season.

The Flyers, who have a win and an overtime loss for three points thus far, debut at the newly renamed Wells Fargo Center tonight against the Colorado Avalanche.

After a 3-2 win at Pittsburgh to open the season, the Flyers lost 2-1 in overtime on Saturday at St. Louis.

Danny Briere scored the lone goal for the Flyers. Brian Boucher had 23 saves in goal.

Briere leads the team with two goals thus far, while Ville Leino leads with two assists. Sergei Bobrovsky had 29 saves in the win over the Penguins.
