Who says there’s no such thing as a free lunch? Over at Circles in South Philly (1514 Tasker St.), chef Alex Boonphaya is hosting a “Thanks Giving” day tomorrow, Nov. 26, from noon to 2 p.m. The Thai restaurant is giving away free lunch to celebrate its fifth anniversary. Stop by to fill up on pumpkin curry, basil fried rice, tofu pad thai or pad prik khing. One dish per person, of course — let’s not get too greedy.
Boonphaya is no stranger to giving back. He recently raised $5,000 for typhoon victims in the Philippines with a charity beer dinner, even chipping in some of the cash himself.
