Friends and family are gathering tonight in the Souderton Area High School Monday night to hold a vigil to support the recovery of Anthony Flick, 17, the lone survivor of gunman Bradley William Stone’s Dec. 15 rampage, and in memory of his sister, 14-year-old Nina Flick, one of the victims. “As for Anthony’s condition, he is in good spirits and will be okay,” said Melissa Mecca, one of the vigil’s organizers, in an email. “That’s all the information the family wants released.” Mecca and other friends have set up “Funds for Flick” and “Flicks Fighters” to raise money for Anthony and for the funerals of his parents and sister. A GoFundMe page for Anthony has raised almost $27,000 from 537 donors in one week. Stone, a troubled Iraq veteran, killed six members of his ex-wife’s family – includinghis ex-wife’s sister, Patricia Flick, her husband Aaron, and their daughter, in a child custody dispute. His own two daughters, aged 5 and 8, were unharmed. Anthony reportedly sustained a skull fracture and three severed fingers trying to defend his family, but survived by barricading himself in a third-floor bedroom.
Stone was found dead in the woods a day later. The cause of death has not beendetermined.
