Shipwreck Saloon
Looking for fun things to do in Philly this weekend? Starting Aug. 24 and anchoring in town until Aug. 27 in Penns Landing, Rock Star Beer Festivals will be taking over the Gazala Primeiro to host this event, which is described as a four-part cocktail experience with live entertainment.
The drinks-side of the activation involves “Nautical Mixology”, aka talented mixologists whipping up themed libations that range in flavor, from their take on a “Pirates Punch” (a recipe of fruit liquors, white rum and tropical berry juices), a Coconut Mai Tai, a Dead Man’s Daiquiri, and the “Release the Kraken” choice (Kraken spiced rum, cinnamon, sugar syrup, nutmeg, vanilla cream and secret spices.)
The ship’s master storytellers (in the form of three characters dubbed Quartermaster Scarlet, Captain Barret Black and First Mate Ruby) will then bring guests to “a realm where ghosts roam and mysteries unravel.” Meaning, part of the experience will feature tales of haunted ships, cursed treasures and spectral encounters on stormy nights ultimately allowing guests to immerse themselves in the ghostly narratives that have fascinated seafarers for centuries.
Tickets come out to be $45 and are available via Eventbrite.
