Candlelight: 100 Years of Warner Bros Concert Series
Through Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment and Fever, an entertainment discovery platform, cities around the world have been selected to participate in this year-long event—including Philadelphia.
What Philly and other stops will get to experience is a commemorative international candlelit concert featuring music from award-winning movies and TV shows from the studio over the years. Warner Brothers has opted for each concert to take place at notable locations spanning cathedrals, theaters, museums, and gardens, with Bok Auditorium in South Philadelphia being selected in the City of Brotherly Love.
Tickets ($45) for “Candlelight: 100 Years of Warner Bros.” are now on sale for the spring concert, which will take place in Philadelphia on May 5 at 6 and 8:30 p.m. The show will boast sounds from ‘The Lord of The Rings’, ‘The Wizard of Oz’, ‘Batman’, ‘Friends’, ‘A Star is Born’, ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’ and more, as audience members listen to the songs reimagined as classical music pieces by the Listeso String Quartet in a candlelit setting.

The Yard at South Bowl
The Yard at South Bowl has been a popular spring/summertime destination in the city since it opened, and luckily, the venue just opened its doors for the season. Opened in 2019, the space now features slow and fast-pitch batting cages, two 40-foot-long bocce courts, shuffleboard, horseshoes, an outdoor arcade area with billiards, and a full bar with seating. And this is all on top of the two full-sized bars, multiple lounges, and rooftop deck that makes up the popular space inside.
The Yard is open every Tuesday through Friday from 5 to 11 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 11 p.m. Philadelphians should note, hours for the space may vary due to weather and groups can call ahead to see availability for the outdoor section before arriving. The Yard can also be rented for private events on top of offering rotating food, drink, and batting cage specials during the season.
