River Twice’s Grazing Package

River Twice has decided to make NYE at-home that much more special this year. With their new “Grazing Package” from Chef Randy Rucker, Philadelphians can indulge in a takeout feast capped off by a bottle of sparkling wine. Dishes to look forward to include a shrimp cocktail, charcuteries, trout roe, tostaditos with Maine sunset bean dip, Maine uni and lardo, sweet amalia oyster escabeche and black-Eyed Peas “for New Year’s Day and good luck.” All dinners are served with a bottle of 2017 Meinklang foam white sparkling wine and are portioned for two people with the price coming out to be $275 per couple. Orders must be in by Wednesday, Dec. 30, at noon, and pickups are New Year’s Eve between 1 and 3 p.m. Interested Philadelphians can reserve their meal on resy.com, and email [email protected] with any questions.

Live Ice Sculpting at Oyster House 

The popular seafood spot is ringing in the New Year with a specially curated evening full of food and frozen fun. According to a release, on New Year’s Eve, beginning in the afternoon, Oyster House will have Ice Sculpture Philly live sculpting an ice bar outside the restaurant along Sansom Street – they encourage passersby to stop and see the artist’s work in action. Once the ice bar is completed, Oyster House will serve martini’s, raw oysters and other celebratory drinks/cocktails to-go all afternoon and into the evening. If you’re looking to indulge in their offerings but still stay home however, Oyster House will also be offering a “Shell-bration” platter for two to-go for $110. The specialty package platter comes with eight raw oysters, four clams, six shrimp cocktail, two stone crab claws, one split chilled lobster and two mini bottles of Mumm Napa Brut Prestige sparkling wine. The platter must be ordered by Dec. 30 at 5 p.m. for pick up on New Year’s Eve between noon and 8 p.m. and orders can be placed by calling Oyster House at 215-567-7683.

Streetside Grilling at Fond

The deadline to order Fond’s specialty takeout has passed, but Philadelphians can still get a state of Chef Lee Styer’s offerings on New Year’s Eve. Styer will be firing up the grill street-side at 11th and Tasker on New Year’s Eve from 3 – 7 p.m. offering an assortment of edible offerings including cheesesteaks, sausage sammies, Brie en Croûte, a champagne cocktail, bourbon mulled cider and much more. Then, on New Year’s Day visitors can head back for more from 3 – 7 p.m. with items including (but not limited to) pork and sauerkraut, sausage sammies, sweet stuffed flatbread, pumpkin cinnamon buns, and a variety of spirited libations including bloody marys, mimosas, mulled cider and craft beer.

Brew Year’s Eve at City Works and Pour House 

Say goodbye to 2020 in spirited style with City Works and the Pour House’s Brew Year’s Eve celebrations. The craft beer bar will be featuring over 90 beers on draft plus a menu of chef’s specials (think filet medallions, cajun linguine and more) with recommended beer pairings from City Works experts, plus every guest will also receive a complimentary glass of champagne. Those celebrating the holiday are invited to come back to City Works the next morning as well. Beginning at 10 a.m. Philadelphians can officially usher in 2021 with a New Year’s Day Rock N’ Roll recovery brunch with dishes such as the Jon Bun Jovi, Chak Shuka Khan, and the Johnny Hash. Reservations encouraged for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day and takeout is also available.

A Cheese and Wine Pairing from Jet Wine Bar 

Philadelphians can ring in the New Year with the city’s own Global Vineyard and their wine and cheese pairing. The spread, which comes out to be $99, boasts three wines and an artisan cheese spread. The NYE package is available for purchase on Jet Wine Bar’s website, in-store or over the phone for $99 and includes a champagne (from Dehu, France), a sparkling rosé (from Ca’Furlan, Italy) and a Pet Nat (from Joao Pato Duckman, Portugal). Food-wise, those who purchase this pairing will be able to feast on a Goat Rodeo wild rosemary cow/goat cheese, Clover Creek galen’s good old cow cheese, Boxcarr nimble cow/goat cheese, Housemade pimento cheese, plus candied walnuts, pickled carrots, whipped pumpkin butter and two buttermilk biscuits.

Le Cavalier’s NYE Dine-In

According to a release, Le Cav will offer a three-course menu with abundant options to help ring in the New Year. Luxe small plate options include foie gras mousse with blood orange marmalade and chestnut soup with hen of the woods mushroom and black truffle and entrees will range from Bouillabaisse with saffron-shellfish broth, branzino, swordfish, shrimp, baguette, rouille to Bavette, Seven Hill Farm grass-fed cut, with au poivre sauce and pomme purée. For dessert, guests will be able to choose pear gateau or chocolate mousse. Supplemental wine and beverage options will be available and the New Year’s Eve menu is available for seatings at 5 and 7 p.m. coming out to be $65 per person. The first two reservations have a max 2 hour seat time and are available through Open Table.
