South Philly residents always go the extra mile for the holidays. This year is no exception, as they decked out their homes in the spirit of Halloween for 2017.
Especially notable is “The Nightmare on 7th Street,” on South 7th near Snyder Avenue, which may take the cake for the most gruesome portrayal of a living nightmare since “Hellraiser.”
With monsters, tombstones, and cobwebs covering the entire face of a Philly rowhouse, the design is a dark twist on South Philly’s more well-known and decidedly nicer “Miracle on South 13th Street,” where annual Christmas light decorations are a tradition.
