Authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding a pickup truck driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a 30-year-old woman seriously injured earlier this month in North Philadelphia.

The collision occurred at around 7:45 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, at 5th and Berks streets, according to police. The truck driver was making a left turn onto 5th Street when they struck the woman, who was walking with her dog, investigators said.

Medics took her to Jefferson University Hospital, where she was in critical condition, police said.

The truck, believed to be a white Ford F-150 with a damaged rear taillight on the driver’s side, was last spotted heading north on 5th toward Cambria Street, according to detectives. At the time of the crash, landscaping debris was in the truck bed.

Anyone with information about the vehicle or driver is asked to contact the PPD’s Crash Investigation Division at 215-685-3180 or dial 215-686-8477.
