Holy Family suspended its men’s basketball coach yesterday, after a video surfaced of him attacking a player during a recent practice.
John O’Connor, who took over the Division II program in Northeast Philadelphia last April, is accused of injuring sophomore Matt Kravchuk. The video shows O’Connor pushing Kravchuk to the gym floor, then kicking him during a 1-on-1 drill. Kravchuk has filed a police report.
Assistant coach Brian Duross will lead the team tomorrow night against University of the Sciences.
